Update

And I thought Italy was hot. Italy has NOTHING on Greece :-)

Croatia

Hello from off the coast of the Greek Islands! We left Croatia almost two days ago and have been drifting towards Athens. Dubrovnik was beautiful and amazing. I enjoyed it so much more than Italy. The scenery was gorgeous and the city was so lively. The weather was perfect (a bit hot during the day but nothing like Italy).

Welcome! So I know I have been terribly delinquent with my blog but today was a day worth blogging about so I am going to start with today and work back to fill you all in on what's been happening over here in the Med!

Begin at the Beginning

Greetings from the Mediterranean! We made it! My apologies for not posting to the blog sooner. I have been having a bout of creative writer’s block and didn’t want to just post something boring. However I have come to the conclusion that most of you are probably anxiously awaiting some sort of update. This particular post may not be as lively as others, but keep in mind that I am working up to the funny stories, and as the days pass I accumulate more material. So here goes…

Backpack, check. Two duffles, check. Cat, check. Benadryl for the cat, check.

Final Preparations

Today I bought my travel guides. Now this adventure is starting to feel real and I am getting super excited!

The last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind of preparations. From notifying credit card companies of my travels (that is IF you can ever get to talk to a live person), to figuring out what to pack into my two bags (I was just informed that Barcelona is a very "trendy" city), I have made and remade several "to do" lists.

Here I go again...
